  1. SF-36 total score was statistically different between the two groups with perinatal women having calculated lower scores than the controls. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the PCS components. However, the MCS component scores were not statistically different between the perinatal women and the control group. Of the SF-36 subscales; physical functioning, role physical, and vitality were significantly lower in perinatal women than in the control group while the scores of Bodily pains, general health, social functioning, role emotional, and mental health were not statistically significant between the two groups
